Wore it to a wedding and caught the light on the gold plating every time I moved my hand — the stainless steel base means it never turned my finger green like cheaper rings do. Stacked it with a plain band and the floating orb still stole the show.
The floating effect looks way more dramatic in person than in the photos, and the one-size actually fit my average ring finger without sliding around. The 14K gold plating hasn't tarnished after two weeks of daily wear, even through hand-washing.
The floating design really gives that "piercing" illusion without any commitment, and the stainless steel feels solid even though it's a stacking ring. I've worn it daily for a week and the gold plating hasn't dulled a bit, which surprised me for the price.
