Finally got this lock to swap out chains on my favorite necklace, and the unscrewing mechanism is surprisingly smooth. It’s solid enough that I don’t worry about it coming loose during the day.

I was a little worried about the threading getting stuck, but it turns on and off smoothly every time. Makes swapping between different chain lengths a breeze.

The screw mechanism is so much easier to work with than I expected—I swapped out chains in under a minute without any tools. It sits flush against my neckline, so it doesn't catch on my hair or clothes. I've already ordered a second one for my anklet.
